Erotic Art at Wat Phaya Jeng, Bangkok

This monastery was previously called “wat ko roman” and was built by Phaya Jeng, Mon army commander who fled Burmese power to live in Thailand. A temple wall painting was created by the artisan of Rattanakosin’s initial days. I found an interesting erotic art in one side of the wall. The artist paint the story of Candakumarajataka (จันทกุมารชาดก) which is about the greatest 10 life of the Buddha. A couple who make love in the center is not related to the story at all,but the goofy funny of Thai artist put that erotic art to call the laugh from the audiences.
